Imagine in the world without civil engineer.

Imagine in the world without civil engineer.

What is Engineering, Engineering is a job that involves taking our scientific understanding of the natural world and used it to invent, create, design, analysis and build things to solve problems and achieve practical goal.

In the world many main types of engineering are there as follows,

  1. Aeronautical Engineering
  2. Biomedical Engineering
  3. Civil Engineering
  4. Electrical Engineering
  5. Electronic and Telecommunication Engineering
  6. Mechanical Engineering
  7. Mechatronics Engineering
  8. Marine Engineering etc….

Engineering is definitely a necessary profession in every part of the world. Within this Civil Engineering is the most important job to our day today life. So now we will focus on the Civil Engineering.

Civil Engineering:-

Civil Engineers combine creativity with imagination and technical expertise to design our built environments. We know Civil Engineering is only for building construction, but that is wrong. Civil Engineering include several specializations. Those are,

  • Structural Engineering
  • Transportation Engineering
  •  Environmental Engineering
  •  Geotechnical Engineering
  • Building Materials
  •  Surveying
  • Architecture and Town Planning
  • Hydraulics, Water Resource, and Irrigation Engineering
  • Construction Technology
  • Remote Sensing and Geographic Information System

The place where you were born that is hospital it was built by Civil Engineer. The place where you study that is university, college, school it was built by Civil Engineer. The place where you will drive your vehicle in roads, highways and bridges it was built by Civil Engineer. The place where you will work hard that is your office it was built by Civil Engineer. The place where you draw the water for the irrigation and the air crops will be supplied by dams through canals it was built by Civil Engineer. The place where train run that is railway track and railway station it was built by Civil Engineer. The place where the plane fly air the runway and the airport it was built by Civil Engineer. The place where you get water your home to drink, and other purposes is water tank it was built by Civil Engineer.

Accordingly in this modern world many developments such as highway, building, airport, tunnels, dams, wastewater treatment, water supply system, power plant, electrical tower, harbors, railways, waste disposal, map making, create design for construction projects, improve recycling, air and water pollution control, environmental sustainability, infrastructure facilities, basic necessities for survival have been carried out by these Civil Engineer.

Imagine what problems we would face if there were no Civil Engineer in the world.

Structural Engineer:

What If there no Structural Engineer who are responsible for maintains the structure, preparing report, drawing, analyzing and designing the structural support systems for buildings, bridges, tunnels, and other structures?  Who will help to selecting appropriate construction material?  Who providing technical advice, monitoring and inspecting work undertaken by contractors?

Hydraulics, water resources and irrigation Engineering:

What if there no Hydraulic Engineer who are responsible for provide expertise and guidance on project related to water supply, drainage systems and flooding? Who designs and tests the hydraulic systems?

Who explores and proposes the expansion, upgrades and required maintenance work required to maintain and improve the infrastructure? Who builds dams, spillways, sluice gate, flumes, weirs and levees that are structures that control, direct and measure the flow of water in natural or man-made waterways?

Transportation Engineer:

What if there no Transportation Engineer who         are responsible for planning, designing and supervising the construction and maintenance of Civil Engineering projects related to transportation network such as roads, pavement, bridges, traffic control systems, public transportation stations, metro transit systems, railways, airports and ports?

Environmental Engineering:

What if there no Environmental Engineer who are responsible for providing technical support for environmental reformation projects and legal actions?  W
ho design projects, such as water reclamation facilities and waste-to-energy operations? Who design systems for managing and cleaning municipal water supply? Who promotes recycling, waste disposal, public health, water and air pollution control? Who will address global issues, such as unsafe drinking water, climate changes and environmental sustainability?

Geotechnical Engineering:

What if there no Geotechnical Engineer who are responsible for supporting design and construction by carrying out testing and analysis to assess risk to humans and the environment?
Who explores land conditions using rock and soil dynamics to warn us of natural hazards such as landslides, sinkholes, rock falls and earthquakes?

To assess the quality of soil or rock to carry the structure Proper knowledge of geotechnical engineer is necessary for safety and stability of structures.

Remote Sensing & Geographic Information Systems:

Remote Sensing & Geographic Information Systems techniques are the essential tools for solving problems in civil engineering. What to do there is no Remote Sensing & GIS, how to develop models by integrating socio-economic, demographic and information on natural resources. How to provide the tools for creating, managing, analyzing and visualizing the data associated with the developing and managing infrastructure?

Surveying:

The main purpose of surveying in Civil Engineering is to determine the 3D (three dimensional) relationship between different locations. What to do if there is no survey, how to involves measurements of horizontal and vertical distances between points, along with descriptions of the exact characteristics of the land structure and surface? How to prepare a map to show the relative positions of the objects on the surface of the earth?

Architecture and Town Planning:

What if there no architecture who are responsible for Process of planning, designing, constructing structures or building? How to explore the evolution of cities, villages and park? How to cities, buildings, parks and landscapes define the structure of our daily lives?

Construction Technology:

Construction Technology is very important tool in Civil Engineering. In the field of construction there are different types of constructions suitable for all classes of society. These are commercial construction, domestic construction, industrial construction, heavy and civil construction. Each of these requires different technological treatments. It is more expensive to carry out construction without using construction technology.

Conclusion:

In the modern world we cannot be imagined our infrastructure and basic needs for survival without the help of civil engineer. So, Civil Engineer is a very important profession in the world. Therefore, we can never imagine a world without a Civil Engineer.
